International Coaching Federation defines coaching as - “Partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential." Coaching is focusing on:

HOW DOES COACHING WORK?
  • The individual / team / group choose the focus area / topic of conversation. The coach listens, observes, contributes, challenges, kindles thoughts, questions, mirrors, brainstorms and facilitates in achieving solutions, which can aid in exploring different possibilities, opening of new ideas and identifying actions to be implemented for growth.
  • The coaching conversations enhance awareness, provides clarity and accelerates progress that is needed to achieve the desired solution.
WHAT IS THE COACHING PROCESS LIKE?
  • Coaching process is based on conversations, listening, observing, powerful questioning, mirroring, kindling, facilitating, challenging etc. That apart, the Coach also uses different coaching tools that enable in achieving the desired outcomes.
  • Did you know how the word “Coach” came into existence? It originates from the word “Coach”, a mode of transport, which is meant to take you from where you are to where you want to be. And this is precisely what a coach does - helps you to get to the higher level of performance that you want. Thus Coaching focuses on where you are now and where you want to be.
  • All coaching conversations are confidential. A coach does not judge you and only considers your future potential.
HOW IS COACHING DELIVERED? WHAT IS THE DURATION & PRICING?
Coaching sessions can be delivered virtually or in person or in a hybrid manner. Duration and frequency are based on the requirements. Usually clients sign up for a period of one year and connect at regular intervals of 3-4 weeks. The pricing varies depending on duration, individual / group coaching, etc.
HOW DOES TEAM COACHING WORK? WHAT ARE THE WORKSHOPS OFFERED?
  • Sangeeta’s workshops / team coaching are customised and curated specifically for clients to address their challenges are achieving desired learning.
  • When a team / group of people have a common challenge which they want to overcome, then team coaching is useful.
  • The coaching process is similar to the individual coaching.
  • Sangeeta makes the team coaching very engaging and effective. To ensure real learning takes place and endures, it is emphasized and encouraged for a holistic approach by integrating both formal and informal elements.
  • When the learning is offered as a workshop, inspiring talks, stories, games, case studies and practical examples, the reception to learning and implementation is higher.
HOW IS COACHING DIFFERENT FROM COUNSELLING OR CONSULTING?
Coaching is not counselling or therapy which tends to focus on the past and look at issues historically nor is it consulting which generally involves coming up with expert opinions and answers. However, coaching does use techniques derived from clinical psychology. Coaching though is more action-oriented and solution-oriented and focuses primarily on both the present and the future. The “answers” that you are looking for come about through the work done in our joint coaching partnership.
